Light Weight List - Fill Drag and Fill Move
Description
For each column in a Light Weight List you can enable Drag Fill and Drag Move to quickly copy or move values between cells.
Overview
Drag Fill and Drag Move are per-column options that make it easy to repeat or move values within a Light Weight List.
These options are enabled on a per-column basis in the column properties for the Light Weight List.
Visual indicators
When a cell has focus, the focus rectangle shows small handles that indicate whether Drag Fill and Drag Move are enabled for that column.
If Drag Move is enabled, a blue handle appears in the upper-left corner of the focus rectangle.
If Drag Fill is enabled, a green handle appears in the lower-right corner of the focus rectangle.
The image below shows the two handles on the focused cell.
Using Drag Fill and Drag Move
When the handles are visible, you can use them to quickly update other cells.
Drag Fill copies the current cell's value into a range of cells above or below the active cell. Click the green handle and drag up or down. The highlighted cells are replaced with the value from the active cell.
Drag Move moves the current cell's value horizontally to another cell in the same row. Click the blue handle and drag left or right to update the target cell.
These operations respect the normal editing and save behavior of the Light Weight List. Cells changed via Drag Fill or Drag Move are treated as edits and are included in subsequent save operations.
